We thought we’d offer you some tips on how to keep your pool lining and water colour looking perfect at all times:

1. Disinfect and clean the structure

The RENOLIT ALKORPLAN membrane performs at its best when installed on a perfectly clean and disinfected structure. Moisture often accumulates in the area between the substrate and the liner, and the presence of organic matter creates ideal conditions for the growth of microorganisms. Before applying your RENOLIT ALKORPLAN lining, ensure that the substrate is thoroughly sanitised using the specific product, RENOLIT ALKORPLUS Sanitized, the ideal product for cleaning and disinfecting swimming pool substrates.

2. Water treatment

Unless the water used for the pool comes from the tap (i.e. the mains water supply) or is otherwise from a reliable source, it must be chemically treated to ensure it is free from dissolved metals, such as iron, copper, manganese, etc.; keeping the water free from metals ensures your investment remains in perfect condition.

We strongly advise against using treatment products containing copper, as they can cause unsightly stains that require a series of chemical treatments, which are best avoided. If copper is present, we recommend using RENOLIT ALKORPLUS Stain Remover.

3. Regular cleaning

Grease deposits at the waterline can be easily removed by carrying out regular cleaning with our RENOLIT ALKORCLEAN degreaser, whilst acid-based products are more suitable for cleaning limescale deposits (please contact your maintenance contractor or specialist chemical supplier). It’s very simple: just dampen a (non-abrasive) cloth with the concentrated product and clean the soiled area of the cladding at the waterline; however, by using products from the RENOLIT ALKORPLAN range with a top coat, your cladding will enjoy greater chemical and mechanical protection, giving you an extraordinary, safe and long-lasting finish.
